Itinerary
After picking you up at your hotel/Riad or from the Marrakech airport, we will take the highway to Casablanca, where we will visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque. We will continue to Rabat, capital of Morocco, where we will visit Méchouar (the ramps and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the Kasbah of Oudaya and the magnificent mausoleum of Mohamed V and the Hassan II tower. After breakfast we will leave for the north of Morocco, the Blue Town of Chefchaouen. On the way, crossing the Rif Mountains and a beautiful oak forest, Chefchaouen located in the only intercontinental natural park, Chauen is a beautiful city, white and blue, which is located in a mountain. It offers its visitors wonderful landscapes, Here you will find local craft exhibitions and you will be able to enjoy a tranquility that is difficult to find in other places. Chefchaouen is a place to explore, enjoy and get lost in its fantastic little streets surrounded by blue and white houses, which make it a unique city. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast at the Riad, our journey begins towards Volubilis, crossing the Rif Mountains and a beautiful oak forest, we will stop at Volubilis to discover the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history from BC, then we will drive to the city of Meknes (founded in the 17th century) where we will stop for lunch, In the afternoon it is time to visit the historical sites of Medina, such as Bab el Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later we head to the city of Fez, where we will spend the night.
The fourth day we will dedicate entirely to getting to know Fez with the help of a local guide walking through the narrowness of its streets and admiring the constant swarm of people moving through the labyrinthine alleys in the middle of which we will be surprised by neighborhoods such as the Andalusian and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. Fez is the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Accommodation and dinner in Fez.
Leaving Fez behind, we will continue south through Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) and the cedar forests of Azrou, seeing the monkeys that live there. We will cross the Ziz Valley and its gorges and pass through towns like Midelt or Erfoud. From Erfoud we will take a desert road until we reach Merzouga, where we will sleep in a hotel near the dunes.
The fifth day we will dedicate entirely to enjoying the desert. We will cross the dunes in 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oases and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit the famous village of Khamlia and enjoy its folk music. At sunset we will take camels that will take us to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
If there is something unforgettable in the Erg Chebbi desert it is the sunrise. If you wake up early enough, a quarter of an hour before not to miss this unique experience. After contemplating this magical moment, we will have breakfast and take the camels again to go outside the dunes of Erg Chebbi and appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi with the first lights, then we will leave for the Toudra Gorges, known as an important destination for climbers. The highest and narrowest gorges in the west of Morocco, where we can have lunch and walk a bit before heading to the Dades Valley.
After breakfast we will take the road through the Valley of the Roses, where, in spring, the whole area is dressed in pink and a wonderful smell is breathed. We will be able to visit shops dedicated to the production and sale of rose water, and cosmetics. We will continue along the "Thousand Kasbahs" route. Arriving at the Skoura palm grove we will visit the Kasbah of Amridile with a local guide. and once in Ouarzazate a panoramic stop with the view of Kasbah Taourirt, then we continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous in Morocco, and continue north crossing the High Atlas mountain range through the Tizi N'Tichka pass, 2,260 meters high, where we will make stops to enjoy the incredible views. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Accommodation in Riad/hotel. End of our service.
